Here are some common questions to new users in the PriceWhispers community. If you don't find a suitable answer here, please send us your question here and we will reply at the earliest.

Q - How do I begin shopping with bidding power of PriceWhispers?
A - Two good places to begin your empowered shopping experience are:

1 - Go to any of our partner retailer's websites (View current list here) and look for the "Whispers" bidding button beside the standard "Add to Cart" buttons. This button will prompt you for product bidding information after confirming you are part of the Price Whispers team.

2 - Review what other people have bid on and/or successfully bought recently through the PriceWhispers community by viewing the recent PriceWhispers activity under our Home page.

 

Q - Some of may favorite retailers aren't part of the PriceWhispers community - can I still bid on their products?
A - At this time, we can only accept bids on products of registered partners but it is very important to let us know who they are so we can invite them to join. You can nominate a retailer here and we will definitely let them know that their participation is requested.

 


Q - My bid is expiring and I want to extend the bidding deadline and/or increase the price to increase my chances of bidding success - can I do this?
A - Yes, you can modify your existing bids through the My Bids tab of your Home page. Beside each active bid is an edit button that will enable you to edit the price and the expiration date of that bid.

 

Q – Are bids free? Can I make an unlimited number of bids?

A – Yes and No, Bids are free and your allowable number of active bids is based on the number of Whisper Points you have. For registering, you already received 100 Whisper Points and for each 25 Whisper Points, you are entitled to have one active bid in the system. This obviously means you start off with the ability to have 4 active bids in the PriceWhispers system. You can of course delete existing bids if you want to replace them with newer bids.

 

Q – How can I increase the number of bids that I can have active at any given time?

A – To increase the number of active bids allowed in the system, you need to increase the number of Whisper Points you have in the system. The good news is that there are a couple of relatively easy ways to accomplish that.  

Processing a purchase through PriceWhispers earns 25 points

Referring a friend who registers with PriceWhispers  earns 10 points

 

Q – Where can I find out how many Whisper Points I have?

A – You can find your current Whisper Points total under the Profile Link once you have logged into the system. Here you will find your current Point total and information on the number of active and remaining allowable bids you have. You can also click through here and review your Whisper Points history to determine when you gained [or lost] points, why and how many.

 

Q – Can I lose Whispers Points?

A – Whisper Points can be lost for two reasons:

Not processing an accepted bid results in a 50 point deduction and possible cancelation of your account.  To be clear, you can always cancel your existing bids with no penalty until that point a retailer accepts your bids.  Once accepted however, you are committed to completing your purchase.

Any other activity using the PriceWhispers system that is deemed to be against the agreed upon Terms of Service.
